Interface language packs
1. Language packs control panel
A set of buttons which are used to manage interface language packs. Click on New for the following window to appear:
Language code – language code consistent with ISO 639 and ISO 3166 standards of the .Net environment. It can be provided in the language format (for example "de") as well as language and culture (for example "de-CH" which is a Swiss-German language). More information about language codes is available [here].
Name – any name chosen by the user
Is visible – checking this box causes the language to be available in the Portal
Custom translations – by using this option you can choose the language pack in .zip format prepared according to the scheme
Overwrite translations – checking this box causes overwriting language pack with the language which is correctly described accordingly to the ISO definitions. Be aware, that it is available only to the languages from the same family (for example de and de-CH).
If it's required to set a language imported from the pack as a system language, then it is needed to add it also in the Translation languages tab. In that case, it is no longer possible to change the language in the Portal settings.
2. Default language
Defines the language in which application content and e-mail notifications will be displayed if the option According to global settings is selected as the Application language.
Choosing Force language and selecting a language will force applications to be displayed in that language, regardless of the user’s personal and browser settings.
The user will not be able to change their display language.
The Suggest language option defines the language which will be set in the user’s profile when they first log in to the system.
The user’s profile language will be taken into account when displaying application content and sending e-mail notifications.
In this mode, the display language can be changed by the user at any point, and their new language will be saved in their profile.
In all cases, if translations for the chosen language were not defined, the untranslated content will be presented in English (for constant parts of the system and process) or the default language in which the process was configured (for customizable parts of the process such as form field names).
3. Notification language for new users
Used to define the language of e-mail notifications when the Notification language for new users option is set to According to global settings.
