Voice memos
With the mobile application, you can utilize the voice memo recording functionality available on the form. This feature enables users of mobile devices to promptly create an audio note and attach it to the form.
How to enable voice memos?
The functionality is enabled by default and does not require any additional configuration. However, please ensure that your device is equipped with a functioning microphone, and the application has the necessary permissions to access it. Additionally, keep in mind that to view the microphone button that activates this functionality, you need to select the Add and delete checkbox in the attachments panel configuration in Designer Studio.
How to record a voice memo?
To record a voice memo using the mobile application, log in to the Portal page and access the functionality by clicking the microphone button in the attachments panel. Clicking this button will open the voice recorder window.
How to use the voice recorder?
In the recorder window you can start and stop the recording (the Start/Stop recording button), as well as pause and resume it (Pause/Resume recoding) (the names and button icons change depending on whether the recording has been started or not). After stopping the recording, it can be played in full or from the location specified on the audio spectrum analyzer (click the desired point on the analyzer). Please note that clicking the recording button again results in deleting the current recording and starting a new one. Before adding the recording file to the attachments panel (the Add button), it is possible to change its name and select the attachment’s category (the Choose attachment’s category option is available provided that the attachment categories have been configured). Pressing the Close button results in closing the window without saving the recording on the attachment’s list.
Where to find the recording?
The recorded voice memo is added as an attachment to the attachments panel on the form. The recording file can be opened in the built-in audio player. Additionally, similar to other types of attachments, you can download, overwrite, delete the file, or edit its attributes.
